A Quiet Insight From Recent Coaching Conversations

I’ve noticed something across several conversations this month. When stress, self-doubt and negative thoughts build, there is often pressure to ‘deal with it’. That pressure can be counterproductive to gaining the clarity that will help with the situation. The clarity often appears when someone stops trying to force it. When you allow yourself a pause, even a small one, the mind naturally has the space to reorganise itself. This can result in things becoming simpler and more understandable

Leaders often assume the answer will come from more input, more urgency or pushing harder. But most of the time, clarity doesn’t respond well to pressure. It responds better to space. If you’ve been sitting with a knot of thoughts about your future, your role or your relevance, you might be closer to clarity than you realise. You may just need a quieter moment to hear it.

If you’re leading others through change, ask yourself where space – rather than pressure – might create the clarity you’ve been looking for. If that helps you and you would like to explore the benefits of a deeper space to un-pack where you are, I’m happy to discuss how my Inner Upgrade Program can help.
