about me

I am based in the village of Collingham, on the Nottinghamshire–Lincolnshire border in the United Kingdom. I moved to the area from Nottingham in 2022. I spent my teenage years in Cleethorpes and I have since lived in various places across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

I had a 30-year career in the IT Industry, working for a range of small and large companies including Capita, Tata Consultancy Services and Boots. I worked in project delivery, progressing on to Head of Department roles. The leadership roles enabled me to engage with, get to know and manage a diverse range of people. Through this, I established a love of developing, mentoring and coaching people. This passion led to me studying as a coach to work with a wider range of people who want to understand and achieve their goals.

I have a lifelong interest in psychology, learning and personal development. I have a strong ability to connect with people, creating conversations that give space and focus, and bring empathy. I am driven by the desire to help people be the best that they can, and to unlock belief in their own needs and capabilities. I am a Transformative Life Coach working across a number of different areas and am studying for an Accredited Diploma in Transformative Coaching. I have experience of working with a wide range of situations, including significant life changes, career changes, changing mindsets, mental health challenges, relationship difficulties and neuro diversity.

I am trained in Transcendental Meditation (TM) and I am studying the ancient Vedic traditions that the TM technique comes from, including yoga positions, breathing techniques and Ayurveda health care. The Vedic concepts of stress release, knowledge, alignment and a harmonious way of life provide a strong complement to coaching.

I have a lifelong love of exercise, particularly cycling. I have studied widely around many areas related to fitness and wellbeing, including balanced diets, sleeping patterns, fuelling for exercise and the relationship with yourself. My love of exercise has also given me a real appreciation of the natural world around us and its beauty, as well as a deep respect for our relationship with animals. I live in Collingham with my partner Ann and have two Step Daughters.
